CCC Homesteaders’ Club
The Homesteaders’ Club is a gathering of individuals interested in topics like canning, gardening, bee-keeping, crafts, home projects, and more. Each meeting consists of a community member-led class and group discussion of relevant topics. We’re always looking for new members to add to our group knowledge. Check out our Facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/CCCHomesteaders/.
Armchair Travelogues are presentations by Canyon locals who are eager to share their travels all over the world. With engaging stories, vibrant photos, and plenty of opportunities for questions, Armchair Travelogues can help satisfy your wanderlust without ever leaving the Canyon. Past presentations have featured Morocco, Botswana, Japan, and a voyage around the world on Semester at Sea. We’re always looking for new presenters, so if you have a trip you’d like to share, let us know!
Outdoor Recreation Club
Group hikes organized year round
The Outdoor Recreation Club seeks out hiking opportunities in areas surrounding CCC. With outings to Golden Gate State Park, Gross Dam Reservoir, and more, you’ll join a fun group of people as you explore the outdoors. Trips are organized year round, with snowshoeing treks in the winter.
Several times a year, CCCParkandRec happily offers dances, community gatherings, storytelling events, and more. Mountain Fest™, our annual summer/fall fundraiser, includes a Mountain Obstacle Course, a Canyon Cookoff, and so much more. We’re also doing a Plant a TREE with Me event, selling altitude appropriate trees and wildflowers within a benefit fundraiser organized by Rusticaw. Please help support us through your presence in our many fundraising activities.
